I'm a potter originally from the vibrant landscapes of South Africa, now finding myself in the clay rich soils of North Carolina.
I started working with clay in 2020 when I took a wheel class at a local pottery studio in town. Over the years my work have evolved as I continue to experiment with new materials and techniques. My work focuses exceedingly on the process of forming vessels from soft clay on the potters wheel leaving marks, textures and indents from my hands and tools.
My latest ventures include using clay local to North Carolina and wood firing where the ash settles and flames leave their indelible mark on each pot's surface.
