Hello I'm Jeanette, the artist behind the pottery.

I am a potter living and working in North Carolina originally from South Africa. Clay has given me the perfect medium with which to express myself. My work focuses exceedingly on the process of forming vessels from soft clay leaving marks, textures and indents from my hands and tools. My latest ventures included using clay local to North Carolina and wood firing where the ash and flames have the final authority on the surfaces of each pot.
